Spriocanna / Aims
- Cosc ar an bhFón Póca sa Scoil go hiomlán
- Complete ban on mobile phones in the School
- Beidh ar dhaltaí an fón póca a chur sa thaisceadán nó sa mhála scoile ach níl cead é a úsáid ar chor ar bith
- Students will ahve to store their phone in their school locker or schoolbag and use of this phone in the school is completly porhibited.
- Tá fón sa phríomhoifig i gcomhair daltaí amháin agus tá fáilte roimh dhaltaí an fón seo a úsáid ag am ar bith.
- A designated student phone is available at all times in the main office. Students are welcome to use this phone at anytime.
- Beidh smachtbhannaí in úsáid sna chásanna go bhfuil dalta le feiceáil ar an bhfón
- School sanctions will be in place where a student is observed using their phone.
- Sanctions
- Level 1: Confiscation, Year Head referral and automatic detention, recorded on Tyro, parent notification and collection of phone by student from main office at the end of the school day. Student's phone kept safe by Deputy Principal and student must visit D.P to request return of mibile phone.
- Level 2: Confiscation, Year Head referral, automatic detention & recorded on Tyro. Parent collection only at level 2.
- Level 3: Parent meeting, behaviour monitoring, behaviour contract, Behaviour Committee referral, internal suspension and possible restriction from extracurricular activities.
- Level 4: Serious breaches as outlined in section below.
- Serious Breaches Refusal to surrender a device, recording others, cyberbullying, social media misuse, bathroom use of phones, sharing of images and inappropriate material without consent. Sanctions may include detention, internal suspension, suspension, Behaviour Committee referral and referral to the Board of Management. All sanctions under the Code of Behaviour remain available up to and including expulsion.

- Mobile phones will not be permitted during after school study (This is a condition attached to signing up for afternoon study)
