Struchtúr is ea an coiste trínar féidir le tuismitheoirí sa scoil oibriú i gcomhar leis an scoil, leis an bPríomhoide, leis an bhfoireann agus leis an mBord Bainistíochta ar leas na ndaltaí agus chun comhpháirtíocht idir scoil agus baile a chur chun cinn. Who are we?
Coiste na dTuismitheoirí is the Parents’ Strategic Association in Coláiste na Coiribe. This is the structure through which parents in a school can work together for the best possible education for their children. We work with the principal, staff and the board of management to build effective partnership between the home and school. We are a voluntary committee and meet every six weeks or so. Is é ról an iondaí tuismitheoirí ar Chumann na dTuismitheoirí:
- Bheith ina chainéal cumarsáide idir thuismitheoirí an bhliainghrúpa agus coiste na dtuismitheoirí:
- Údar ar bith imní sa bhliainghrúpa a chur in iúl do choiste na dtuismitheoirí, agus aon údar imní a phlé ag cruinnithe an choiste agus a thaifead sna miontuairiscí
- Faisnéis ón gCoiste faoi imeachtaí a roinnt le tuismitheoirí an bhliainghrúpa (via WhatsApp)
- Trí VSWare a roinnfear aon chumarsáid ón scoil chuig an mbliainghrúpa, ach is féidir le hionadaithe na dtuismitheoirí sin a dhéanamh freisin
- Feidmhiú mar a bheadh fócasghrúpa:
- I bpáirt le baill eile de Choiste na dTuismitheoirí, beidh ionadaithe na mbliainghrúpaí ina nglór ar son tuismitheoirí, a chuirfidh comhairle ar an scoil faoi fhadhbanna/beartais de réir mar a thagann siad aníos sa scoil.
- Tacú le beartais agus tionscnaimh na scoile agus eolas a scaipeadh futhu
- Ní mór d'ionadaithe na mbliainghrúpaí bheith i láthair ag formhór na gcruinnithe in aon bhliain acadúil (i.e. thart ar 6 cinn sa bhliain).
The role of the Parents representative on the Parents Association is to:
- · Act as a conduit between the parents of the year group and the parents committee
- Communicating any year group concerns to the parents committee, these concerns will be discussed and minuted at parents committee meetings
- Disseminate any information from the committee re: events to the parent year group (via WhatsApp)
- School communication to a year group will be issued via VSware, however, may be highlight by Parents representatives as well.
- Act as a ‘focus group’
- Along with the other members of the parents committee, the year group representatives act as a voice of the parents to advise the school on issues/initiatives as they arise the school
- Spread awareness of initiatives – support the school in the initiatives they adopt
- Parent Year Group representatives must attend the majority of meeting in a given academic year (there at approx. 6 meeting each year)
