Whole-School Approach

Student Care Team

There is a Student Care Team (SCT) in the school. Teachers, students, and parents can refer a student to this committee.
The committee meets every Thursday from 14:25 to 15:23 to discuss cases and to put appropriate supports in place for students.
The following supports are available:

  • Behaviour Support
  • Attendance Support
  • Support with Organisational Skills and Homework
  • Study Skills Support
  • Pastoral Care Support

The committee includes the School Principal, Deputy Principal, Year Heads, the Guidance Counsellor, and the Special Educational Needs Coordinator.

We aim to provide individual support (“Support for a Few”), small‑group support (“School Support for Some”), and to focus on whole-school themes so that we can support full classes, year groups, and the entire school community (“Whole-School Support for All”).

How to Make a Referral

  • Teachers make referrals through the school’s internal digital system.
  • Students may refer/communicate/share a concern through the wellbeing box located outside the main school office. Students are aware of this box and it is checked once per week. Students may also send a message to their Tutor, Year Head, a member of school management, or the Guidance Counsellor.
  • Parents can make referrals online, or by emailing or phoning a member of the Student Care Team.
